項目簡介  Project Description :

舊街改造可賦予一個城市獨有的體驗,只要恰當運用舊有元素結合創新體驗,更能重新煥發舊街悠久的面貌,將舊區重新定義。

“保育”和“創新”是本項目的兩個主要設計原則。新設計着重公共區域的改建;藉公共空間的新體驗襯托出具有歷史價值的建築群,並同時建立一個多元平台讓不同表演和藝術同場舉行。

圍繞歷史悠久的雙子塔,我們引入新的地形景觀設計;藉此給予遊人一個新的休閒地方,一個拍照地點和一個觀看表演的目的地。新的地形景觀為雙子塔廣場注入新景象,帶來更多的空間,更多的可能,成為項目的中心。

在舊區零售街道,我們引入富有現代又有中國元素的景觀設計;一座輕盈拱橋結構載滿了花和盆栽,穿越街道上空,帶到廣場和人民眼前。藉創新設計引入新視角和新體驗,讓行人彷彿置身中國園林中,藉此打破原有的規範。

我們亦在舊區空間引入藝術和色彩元素,期待為該區帶來新活力,一個既熟悉又新穎的地方。通過設計力量,賦予舊街新生命。

OLD STREET RENOVATION is an opportunity for the city to reintroduce its historical past; by using existing elements combining with creati​​​ve design approaches, we are able to give a new fresh look.

“Preservation” and ”Innovation” are two major design principles for this project. The new design intervention will focus on retrofitting the public areas, creating backdrops for the beautiful Chinese architecture behind and creating platforms for things to happen.

We introduce a new topographic landscape surrounding the historical twin towers; this will increase space for the plaza by giving people a place to sit, a place to eat, a place to take pictures and a place to enjoy performance.  This will be the heart of the project.

We also introduce a modern yet Chinese landscape design intervention to the area.  Instead of enjoying plants in a garden, we design a bridge-like structure filled with Chinese plants and flower bringing them to the street, to the plaza and to the people; introducing a new perspective and new experience as if in Chinese garden.  

By introducing art and color into the old street, we create a new identity to the place, a place yet familiar and new. We hope with design, we give new life to a place that we all respected.
